Pen and Paper
Words spread across the paper in an endless dance.
Each unique, offering vital detail.
In an imaginary world, created by an artist.
Forms and image merge in a reader’s mind.
The story takes you to a world of endless choices.
Not yet there, but someday I will be.
Ten years later, I sit at home.
A cozy cabin, surrounded by peaceful woods.
Near a glistening lake.
Famous, prosperous, and happy,
I followed my dream.
Writing brought me a new perspective.
With this gift, I see what others cannot.
I stop and look out the window and smile.
The sun rises above the horizon.
I closed my eyes, feeling a moment’s peace.
And the power of words fill me.
