Pen and Paper / Ink and Blood

All I need

Is a pen full of ink

(To let me show the world how I feel)

I could scribble on my skin

And keep the fear from rushing in

(To reassure myself that

I

am

real)

All I need

Is a pen that fits my hand

(To let me make the people all around me understand)

And if I have that

I can never lose myself

(I could do with just a pen if I had nothing else)

And to leave my mark

On a solitary heart

With my life an empty canvas

And my pen a new start
