The Pen Is Mightier Than The Sword
Read my words
And comprehend them like a warning
Education is the motive
To get up every morning
My fear is to be perceived
As incompetent
To leave this world…
Dreams and goals unachieved
For no one to believe in me
As they once believed
Open your eyes
Place your hands over your ears
Look at the chaos we know as life
Then let flow, all the tears
My youth is not limited
I have many more years
Yet, growth is wisdom
And wisdom is growth
Now, witness the raising of my right hand
Followed by the recitation of this oath:
“I Feven Laine, daughter of the Lord, shall write ‘til my last breath. For, the pen is mightier than the sword.”
