With A Pencil In My Hand

With a pencil in my hand

My story can be told

On this paper there are no illusions or dreams being sold

With a pencil in my hand

I say the words my mouth cannot speak

And relay the lessons I cannot teach

When there's a pencil in my hand

It's as mighty as a sword

Allowing me to slay dragons and wage wars

With a pencil in my hand

I can be strong as a lion rather than meek as a lamb

For it is when this pencil is in my hand that I know exactly who I am
