Penmanship

Discarded, the fountain pen wept into pages,

Felling folly in the world outside its fiction.

Apostrophes towered over landscapes of glass,

As periods ended the epoch of mankind.

Blue light dissipated, shadowed by lined paper

Composed of crimson rust instead of ink of past.
