Penny Jar

It is clear and decorated with red dots; staggered 3 by 2.

Flipping open the tab makes a popping sound.

It immediately smells of metal.

Handfuls of little copper plated zincs turning green.

It sits near the top.

Edges smooth.

His beard is dirty with the gunk from 7 years

Of grimy, greedy fingers,

Street corners,

And the abysses of pockets.
