A Penny For Your Thoughts
Though I am small
Todays world revolves around me
You need me for food
You need me for water
You cant live without me
Yet still
You throw me away
On the ground
Into fountains
Even in the street
What are you thinking?
Sometimes you even burry me under your plants
I am NOT a rusty nail
If only you could learn to save me
You would not believe what outstanding ideas and dreams you could accomplish
But wait...
Don't be fooled
Too much of me is just as bad as too little
I corrupt innocent beings
You can become blinded by fame and fortune
And slowly
You began to forget who your true friends and family are
Until someday when you awake from your nightmare and fathom
The only people that can fathom to be around you
Are the ones you pay to do so
You don't want that... Do you?
Balance me within your life
Don't conform like many others before you
Make receiving me a pleasure
Use me wisely
For i am somewhat hard to earn
Next time when you see me
On the ground
Heads or tails
Don't be afraid to pick me up
It might just happen to be the first day
Of a new beaming
I am a penny
