People I've Left

I sometimes wonder,

wonder if people think of me.

People I've left,

People I'm with,

People I'm next to.

I think of them,

The people I've left.

The stories we shared.

The ones they now share without me.

I wonder if they think of me,

Like I do them.

Wondering where they are,

Who they are,

And if we'll ever meet again.

I wonder if their eyes ever water

At the thought of me.

Sometimes mine do for them.

I can see them,

The people behind me,

The people next to me starting to fall behind,

And I wonder,

Will I ever wonder about them?
