Perception

Every day, it’s the same thing
I stumble through life, wishing I weren’t me
I mess things up, can’t get it quite right
So I stay up late, crying into the night
I go on like this, day after day
Wishing I could go back to when life was great

I’m trying to say what I feel
But right now I’m not sure what’s real
I kinda feel like my life’s crumbling down before my eyes
And I won’t pretend I’m fine
I feel like I’m breaking down
Wish I knew what I’m supposed to do now
I feel so confused, everything feels so wrong
Why does every night seem so long

I see the world through half-blank eyes
Seeing, but only part of the time
And despite what everyone tells me
My beauty and good qualities are hard for me to see
I feel like everything’s coming down
And I don’t see any way out

No matter how many people say I’m beautiful
I still feel invisible
No matter how many people say I’m amazing
I still feel insanely crazy
