Perception

I can see

Oh!

How God has blessed me!

I can see

I differentiate colours

I witness the beautiful day

I stare at the daily expressions

I see the cruelty surrounding me

I glance at the poverty and blink it away

I stare at the horror on a screen

Flinch

And click exit.

Oh!

How God has punished me!

I shouldn't have to turn away

When I see something

That pains me

I should

see

And be prepared to

Help

And

Instead

See the difference a human can make.

I see the beauty and the cruelty

I chose both

Because

How do I appreciaete life

When I am given a blessing

And choose

To look at everything the same?

I squint at the sun that hits my eyes

And I'm sure

Whoever is staring at the sun right now

Isn't seeing it the same as me.
