Perception

Perception

By: Yasmine Nana-Yeboah

Do not bother me because at the end of the day it’s all about my perception

My eyes

What I think is fair

Something I can share

What I see

Who I want to be

Inspire me fill me with dignity

It’s all okay cause at the end of the day do not worry

I know it is just me

I will fall

I will cry

I want to do it all before I die

Hope will carry me throughout the night

It’s all in my mind

I call my dear friend perception

It’s all in my mind

Perception on my mind

Perception is not a lie

And together we hope to fly

My dear friend is not a lie

Perception, Perception

My dreams and you deserve all my affection

This open was inspired by those around me who have lost their dream or dreams. In my head this was me pleading to never let go of my positivity cause that is what I need the most.
