Perception

And I'm drowning

In all these lies

All these hidden perceptions

I am barely getting by

Then I look up

At the sky

Maybe the sun is the light to the heavens

And the stars are its guide

So why am I wasting my life

As times creeping by

As people lose lives

Only to say goodbye

To this this life we've taken

For granted.

Is this life within a dream?

Is everything really what it seems

Or are we just perceived

Into what we want to believe
