Perception

Colossians 2:8 New English Translation (NET Bible)

8 Be careful not to allow anyone to captivate you through an empty, deceitful philosophy that is according to human traditions and the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

Lackluster

It’s amazing what we don’t know and not perceive

What is stored deep within as it seems to rarely surface?

Do we think we comprehend, how much may that involve?

Is it three percent or less just enough for our dyer purpose?

It is hardly habitual for what it takes us to go through life

A little here and there to add to chosen habits and tradition

It takes enough to just get by and to escape towards comfort

Not ever yearning beyond mediocrity in an average perception

Is it set aside for the few that hunger for deeper understanding?

They realize it’s not discovered on the surface of common sense

How to search for intricate parts of the not understood before

Driven sub-consciously pushed and driven far beyond pretense

We are too confused in complication to understand the now

So we rest in peace right below the surface in an almost coma

Live and let live the motto of our escape so raising many a brow

So not to be discovered or delivered from our deeper-self aroma

Why should we even try the apartness of understanding’s comprehension?

Is it not called wisdom that gives a foretaste of sufficiency to a simple life?

Is it not realistic to let God know the intent of our search without apprehension?

For the un-conditionality of what’s provided should be accepted without strife

Searching for issues not needed here to just to know a little more than others

That seems like such a waste of time and surely becomes a daily grind

There is too much pain and suffering not to mention hunger, despair, and violence

That the hunger for the unknown here should not interfere here with love’s find

An inventory of one’s own senses gets lost in a world of habits

Sleeping with what you think you know will oft keep you awake

Maybe true understanding blossoms when we are sincerely weeping

In places, where are dimensions cross and for that, is never too late

Freedom is maybe just: “nothing left to lose “, but for many, it would be better said:

Who cares? I have nothing left to gain, maybe losing self in-deed, is going back to bed
