Perceptions
A glance, a look, an exchange, and then an image is formed.
Without any objections, without a fair trial or a proper ruling, we perceive what we want to perceive, what is stereotypical.
Our minds take what we see, what we think we know and create a judgement. A judgement on a person or thing that never even stood a chance against our cold glance.
But what if, there was a way to stop that vicious cycle that overcomes our minds.
What if we could inhibit what we see in the lines of an assumption.
What if we could stop that automatic judgement that comes into our minds when we first lay eyes on something.
Instead of judging by our eyes, let’s begin to open our ears and listen to what the person has to say.
Let us not go into a situation with a preconceived thought or notion but have that thought come to us when we truly understand others.
When we actually know and understand the very person next to us that is when we are able to take off our blindfolds and truly see the world.
