Perfect
You said perfect
That I was perfect
My freckles were perfect
How am I so perfect-
Someone knows my name and that makes me perfect?
I don't have many issues with how I look and that makes me perfect
I make jokes and so I am perfect
Perfect perfect just ever so perfect
I don't feel perfect but you say I am
You say I am beautiful and smart and funny
The perfect girl, an amazing friend
Is perfect the word that I look for?
When I'm talking to myself, scolding myself
When I think 'what is wrong with me?' and the only answer is everything
When I cry over the stupidest things
When I can't let myself ask for the smallest thing
When I convince myself that no one really likes me
When I convince myself that no one really likes me so the only reason anyone ever says they do is because I am manipulating them
When I brush off every person who finds me with a problem
When I say that I am just overreacting about everything
When I say that everything I do is just for attention
When I ran away from home
When I stop talking because of how many times I've been told nobody cares
When I can't do my school work without breaking down
When I can't validate a single reaction I have
Is this what you call perfect?
Because perfect means I'm fine
And I have cute freckles so I'm perfect
And I'm perfect, so I'm fine
