perfect

They say laughter is the best medicine So we keep silent Sit straight legs together Hide who you are Left, right, centre On display like the dog you are The whispers start quiet increasing Sentient and vile Louder LOUDER Better grades, better skin Better until you break Pick those pieces up don't be lazy If your not better then perfect What are you doing Faster, Faster The whistle blows Again Again Out of breathe so soon? Weak. Do it again, perfection Over, over Dirty Cant you feel them under your skin? The bugs. Crawling in you veins Corrupted, wrong Fix it Its covering you The silence Choking twisting Can you hear them Or is it you? Screaming. Who's screaming You. What.? Who's that? Is this real? How would they stare with such pity If this weren't real Why? I did everything right I did it over and over again Its perfection Why. Perfection is alien To be human is to break To love, to suffer is human To exist in imperfection is perfect Rest pain isn't perfect Trying so hard to be something you're not Isn't perfect Perfection is fraud Be human
