Perfect?

Never been perfect

Never will be

Sometimes I hate myself

I just need to be free

It's hard for me

I don't know who to be

Hide behind the lies

Make everyone like you

But for who?

Definitely not me

Just because I'm what they want to see

Not sad and lonely

But happy and proper

If only they knew the real me

Understood the pain behind the game

They game we all play

So hard to be real

In a world so full of fakes

So hard to care

When the world doesn't even want you here

Now I know what I must do

And really it won't involve you

To make me happy all I need

Is my baby girl and something to read

Just giving her hope is more than enough

To make me smile proudly

At what my baby could become

It's not what you are

But the people you help realize who they are.
