Perfect

When you look at her, what do you see?

Perfection

From head to toe

The act she plays is all her own

No one sees through this flawless facade

This mask

Inside is ugly

Torn, shattered, brusied, broken

Wipe away the make-up

Take away the sleeves

Hidden away

The pain she inflicts

Reminding herself

No one sees this imperfection

This broken girl

She remains hidden

Seamlessly disguised

No one bothers to go beneath the beauty

To see the truth

To remove the mask

The mask that hides the secrets

Take it all away

Look at her now

What do you see?

perfect....
