I am the perfect actress.

I don’t even need to be

in theatre.

Each day I'm a different

character

around different

people.

With my friends, I’m

“happy”

With my family, I’m

“okay”

With other adults or teachers, I’m

“great”

But even behind all those

masks,

I’m the sad little girl no one

understands.

I’m the sad actress behind the

curtains

I’m the depressed girl behind the

characters.

I’m the scared person the

mask.

So the next time you see me,

ask me how I am.
