The Perfect Beauty

They are iconic. Their hair is luscious. The texture? Perfect. Their eyes are captivating.  The perfect shade. Their face is easy on the eyes. Feature? Perfect. Their body? Perfect. The kind that looks breathtaking in every outfit. From pastels to blacks, every colour suits them. They are gorgeous, and a genius. The top of their class. Voted most likely to be simply...spectacular. Phenomenal.  They are beauty. They are perfection. They are an embodiment of what you want to be and what you want to have. They will come knocking on your door. And when you’ll open it, they will examine you. Judge you with their alluring eyes, pursing their stunning lips. And then, they will deem you flawed. Imperfect. You’ll doubt yourself. You’ll think, I will never be like them. Because they are beauty. They are perfection. But is that what they really are? No, that is but a facade. They are a wraith pretending to be an angel. They aren’t perfection. They aren’t beauty. They are but an illusion of our mind. So, what is beauty? Is it being perfect from every angle, physical and characteristic? No. I believe beauty lies in what we call our imperfections. Our flaws are our beauty. If we all were to look like a singular, perfect image of what is called ‘beauty’ we’d all look the same and there would be no beauty left. We’d all just be boring. Plain. The truth is, each of our unique souls is gorgeous in its own way. Fat, thin, tall, short, ugly, dumb, abnormal, strange are just empty word. But these words do not define us. We are not these words. You, me, every one of us is a story. A story of learning and success.  A story of beauty.
