A Perfect Life

Dear Life,

You've given me everything I wanted.

A roof over my head, parents with a steady income, and a loving brother and sister.

A perfect family, nothing more I could ask for.

I have a good life.

Growing up, I had everything I wanted

it was a wonderful life.

As i grew older, I got more things I wanted

it was a great life.

My brother graduated college,

my sister is on her way to completing her Associates Degree,

children our parents could be proud of.

I'm in college and have indepence of my own 

a life I wanted.

But after all of this,

my life is not as perfect as it seems....

My brother is out of college, 

and now I am expecting a nephew in May

that my brother can't afford

I have a perfect life.

After my brother spent 5 & 1/2 years in college, a major change

and numerous times getting in trouble,

my parents are in debt up to their eyebrows.

I have a perfect life.

My sister crashed our car that was only in our possession for 10 months,

a present for me and my sister for doing well in school, now gone.

That put lots of stress on my parents even more after my brother,

I have a perfect life.

My parents fight constantly.

Around the house, in front of me,

I'm so worried they'll divorce

I have a perfect life

On top of all of this, I am not better than my siblings.

I chose to go to a 4 year university

knowing my parents and I don't have money

I have a perfect life

So life, thank you for giving me all I ask.

Little did i know, everything I asked for came at a price.

The perfect life I have.
