Perfect Place

Its beautiful wings are different pigments of light

Leading me out of such darkness and fright

Shining a path that’ll lead me to everlasting life

Such tender sight and compassionate ways

Guiding me through my toughest days

Letting me know about the word’s lusty bait

Setting its trap for me to fall and not escape

Then hungrily chewing the life out its prey

Hoping to leave me in a state of dismay

But the Lord is my Shepard

He restores my soul

He sends fourth his angels unto a battle

Where they fight with all their might

Day and night

And then…

They bring me out from a lurid place

Filled with rancor, seductions, hate, and disgrace

Pouring on me like acidic rain

And taking me to such a peaceful and perfect place

Then I ask why

And the answer is

He’s the King almighty

Whose throne is heaven

And whose kingdom is eternity

Being with the Lord is where

I want to be

Filled with his joy, love, and mercy

Yes, that’s the Perfect Place to be
