Perfect Poem
In this world, I fight for a single word
A word no one can understand except for one
One whose name is truly a beauty
But there are some
Some that believe that beauty is only on the outside
The outside that they fill with products that mask themselves from the truth
The truth that is the inside
The place no one cares to look
I was born in this world
What's the definition of beauty comes from a few
Few that don't dare to look inside
Because they'd rather see what's on the outside
Then look a little deeper
Those very few don't care about the people they hurt
Just how they look
We are taught that beauty comes from the inside
Yet those who teach us still look on the outside
And choose who they want and not what they don't
people who rate and state that beauty comes from the perfect shape a skinny waist and the perfect shade
Are usually the ones that hide behind screens and say all the things they wish they were
Just cause they don't think they're beautiful they have to lie about it
This world was built on a lie
A lie that some see as the truth
The truth they believe and seek to retrieve
But never achieved
Since that truth was a lie from the start
They were told they needed to be fixed
But weren't broken
They were told the world was right
And they were wrong
They weren't told the world was broken
But they still knew
And strove to be part of this world
But we're cast out because they don't fit the image
This world is still broken
No, The only broken part is the people who built it
But what no one realizes is that beauty is not something to achieve
but something to find inside
If you don't see what's beautiful about yourself
I'm sorry
You need a better mirror ......
