Perfect Production

Silver shoes taping backstage

before our perfect production.

The chatter of the cast saying

‘break a leg’.

The swoosh of the curtain

as it rises and the smacking

of hands as the set is revealed.

The smooth-spoken lines that took

extensive hours to memorize and the

dazzling dance routines.

The beautiful bows and the

congratulatory fluorescent flowers

received from friends and family.

And repeat.
