A Perfect World

I want to live in a perfect world where there is no such thing as violence, There would no longer be any ambulance sirens, To pick up the person that just got shot. I want to live in a perfect world where there is no such thing as fear, There would no longer that terrible feeling that someone out there, Is out to get you, somewhere. I want to live in a perfect world where there is no such thing as starvation, There would no longer be that growling sound, That makes people lose pounds, Because there will be enough food to go around. I want to live in a perfect world where there is no such thing as hatred, There would no longer those whispers that you hear, When you walk past people and they stare, And make jokes because you’re different. But there can never really be a perfect world, can there? So why did I write this rhyme? Because the only real way to have a perfect world, Is if we go back in time, But we all know that that is not possible.
