A Perfect World
In a perfect world we’d have no shame,
We would all know where to aim.
There would be no physical or mental pain,
Only knowledge to gain.
People would roam the streets day and night,
Without any need of light.
Death wouldn’t be caused by others, rather preserved,
Love and family would be deserved.
Terrorism wouldn’t exist,
The idea would be dismissed.
Everyone would have a home,
Some even with a dome.
People would never have to be alone,
Nor on one’s own...
Disease wouldn’t be a word,
It wouldn’t even be inferred.
Children would be free from starkness,
They’d also be protected from the darkness.
The hungry would be fed,
They would also be given a bed.
But Adam and Eve took a small bite,
of the forbidden fruit that was full of mite.
That is why the world if full of crime,
And many people are doing time.
People barely have water to drink,
Their lifespan is beginning to shrink.
The world is full of displeasure,
No one ever lives a life of leisure.
Death happens every day,
People are being killed like prey.
War is the key to being free,
Even if it costs a deadly degree.
Equality is slowly being vanished,
Immigrants are even being banished.
Now it’s difficult to make a change,
But it’s time to rearrange.
We can change the world with a simple oath,
It all starts with us both.
Although a perfect world doesn’t exist,
There could always be a twist.
One action can lead to another,
It can begin with a simple appreciation towards each other.
Help those in need,
It will be recognized as a great act of deed.
Protect the young,
Don't let your words stay unsung.
Together we can make this world succeed,
Now tell me ; do you agree?
