Perfection

Is it maintaining flawless skin

Is it keeping yourself so, so thin

It is achieving all of those perfect grades

Is it getting that desired raise

Is it leaving behind all of the ones you love

To get that promotion that sets you above

Everyone who ever cared

Anyone who ever dared

To help you

To hold you

To believe

If that is perfection then I don't want it

To me it is jeans with a comfy fit

The stars as they twinkle in the dark of the night

Warmth on your face from the golden sunlight

A puppy who's happy the minute they see you

A friend who has and will always be there to

Help you

To hold you

To believe
