Perfection
What does it mean to be perfect,
to try your best?
Does it mean to understand your emotions
before entering eternal rest?
Does it mean to have everything in place,
in the haze we call life?
Perhaps it means ideal marks
or graceful hair?
Whatever perfect means,
I know I cannot grasp.
What is perfection worth
if you are living behind a mask?
Something wrong with this poem?

Predominantly negative/questioning tone; resignation in inability to grasp perfection.
Questioning rhetorical structure creates moderate momentum; contemplative rather than explosive.
Approximately 12 lines; falls in 7-15 range.
