Perfectionist Problems

Ever feel like everything must be just right?

Thoughts of failure keeping you up at night?

Worried that one wrong step will break you down,

Like paper trampled on the ground?

Should've gone ahead instead of wait.

What if the next time you tried, it was too late?

What about coming home with a bad score?

The look on your father's face as if dishonored....

Ever felt like you're trying your hardest?

Working, and thinking, and fighting the longest?

But no matter what, it's never good enough.

It's never good enough....

Story of a perfectionist.

I cannot help it.

Someday it will all pay off.

Someday it'll be worth the extra cost.

I'll just have to face my problems.

Fix and not prolong them.

It's hard to listen to good advice,

When you're brain is telling you otherwise.

But until all is said and done,

When my to-do list narrows down to one,

Until I find that peaceful place,

Guess I'll be working harder anyways...
