Perfectly Flawless
I am flawless
I don’t have perfect skin
It often breaks out
And my nose is big
Almost taking up my face
My teeth
Crooked and an open bite
Lazy eye
Perfect eye
I am flawless
Bowlegged beyond compare
Two left feet
Two sally man hand hands
Only pretty with color carefully sculpted upon the tips
Stomach slightly bulging
Hips wider than a load
Way more junk in the trunk than I care to want
I am flawless
The way my smile brightens when I’m happy
The way my eyes glow with excitement
The way I’m full of kinetic energy because I can’t stay still
I am flawless
I’m so full of flaws
That I’ve accepted that I’m perfect
I’m flawless because I’m fine with the flaws
Warts and all
They make me me
And why would I want to be anyone else?
I. Am. Flawless
So I just have one question left
If you can’t say the same about yourself
Are you jealous yet?
Because I know my flaws
And I know not only the power they give me
But the power they take from you
I’m beautiful inside and out
How many of you can say the same with the straightest face?
Let your loved ones be your witness
Something wrong with this poem?
