Sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me.
Because we live in a society
where to be “flawless”
you have to be light-skinned
blue eyed
and the size of a tooth pick;
Where your worth
Is determined by your looks.
When will we realize
That “flawless” doesn’t exist?
Does a girl have to die from starvation
because she grew up watching
America’s next top model
comparing Herself and shown that beauty
is when you can see every bone in your body,
that the essence of your worth depends on the size of your waistline,
that the pant size ZERO is the only way to happiness,
but she was only nine,
she died before she hit 2 digits
and please don’t miss it
when i say,
she left the world thinking she wasn't flawless
because according to society she had to be the twig, not the trunk

This word is starting to get on my nerves
I find it so absurd
That time is being wasted
Just face it,
We're perfectly imperfect and that’s okay
We will survive another day
I know it’s not our fault
That we choose to obtain the unattainable
Because its not just society drilling our brains
To see life in their way
But our friends, lovers, and family
Reflect for a minute
And ask yourself,
Would you want your son or daughter to feel this way?
To feel like they're not enough, that they will never be enough?
If you’re thinking no,
Then my final question would be
What are you doing to change the meaning of flawless
Because at the end of the day you will see
That we're the ones that make up society.
