Perfectly Imperfect

Hashtag let me take a selfie!

Sike, that’s not like me

With no filter, I’m no gem

I look more like mother hen

Lots of imperfections

Never get rid of them

Looking in the mirror

The girl inside, I can hear her

“You look fat”

“And that’s that”

Pimples upon pimples

And the occasional wrinkle

Things I struggle with every day

How do I change this, oh hey!

Learn to love myself

Even if others don’t

Ill love it, since others won’t

Who are they to say otherwise?

I love my stomach, I love my legs

I love my teeth, I love my face

There used to be many imperfections

And I still see them perfectly

But I am imperfect, in the most perfect way
