Perform

I’ve never written any poetry. However, I perform. I perform on stage for pleasure But I perform offstage for necessity. I perform for my friends, family, colleagues, and mentors But they don’t know its performing. I perform to seem like a strong individual, To make it seem like I have it all together. I perform for my sanity, To convince myself that I can do the things I want to. I perform everyday, noon and night. But I don’t mind. It’s what I love to do; I am a performer, after all.
