The Peril Of HeathCliff

Peril of HeathCliff

Wuthering Heights

I’m falling out the sky.

But, if I hit the ground I’ll shatter.

I’m a diamond, but my hearts plaster.

I’d cry for you, but it wouldn’t matter.

There’s only tears in my eyes, used to be laughter.

And the drum in my chest beats faster,

A-Rat-Ta-Ta-Tum

I’d run to you… but what am I running from?

I only move at the sound of the gun.

Gun to my head, I’m half brain dead.

Would you revive me?

Or leave me here instead? To rest.

How can the silence be so loud?

Only my fading heartbeat drowns it out.

Wished I’d known.

Good for the mind and body, but not for my soul.

When we first kissed you said, “Don’t inhale if you can’t let go.”

Breathing in air but letting out smoke.

You’re a drug I can’t control, and my urges feel too strong.

So, tie the noose around my neck.

Do your worst I’d still think you’re the best.

Your still my right even if we go left.

I’d still breathe you in, even in death.

And your so shallow, but I love your sense of depth.

We define the peril.

The peril of HeathCliff.

The peril of loving someone you don’t belong with.
