Perla Only Being a Mother

Her name is Perla

A true wonder women,

And fascinating female

With yellow daisy natural colored hair

Golden bronze highlights

A mouth the size of a mousehole

Ears that resembled small caves

Nose shaped like an arrow

Scent holes nearly as wide as her mouth

Voice of an enormous latitude

Her words at high pitch struck me

As she ask where I been

Her Language slipping back and forth

In spanish and english

Looking at me

As i gazed back at her

I yelled

Your Ignorant!

I wanted to explain that I was at school doing my homework

But she wouldnt let me

I wanted to point out that i do what i need to do to have averge grades

But she couldnt let it be

At the time i beilieved

She was oblivious to the obvious

Feeling tears swell up in my eyes

Emotions starting to burn in my stomach

Blood boiling

My stomach felt like an inferno

I could feel my hands tremble and pulsate

Head feeling like falling on the ground

I never thought i would feel this type of feeling of

Anger.

I wanted to erupt

Detonate, Explode. Implode,

Anything that would release this rage

That made me different

Perla with her grandeur looks

Slapped me across the face

Making the noise sound loud

Like someone dropped ten pounds of steel into

A peaceful tempered pond

I never felt a pain as bad as her slap in my life

It wasnt the nerves that made the slap hurt

I dont know why but i felt weak, miniture, inferior

My emotions quickly shifted from ready to throw a rancor

To a demolished and hurt spririt

I cracked

I broke

And than i shattered into a million pieces of a fallen glass dish

Landing on a newly waxed tile floor

Perla looked at me

As i sobbed with hurt

I could see her wild eyes

Hair messed up from working in the dry grape fields

Face with a similar complexion to a blood red apple

I decided to fall into a dormant enchantment

Escape the pain of the day

Forget for a few hours what i expierenced

Only to stay in silence

I awoke to realize something

I was the ignorant one

Mom only tried to open my eyes

To my mistakes

I let myself forget about my responsibilites to her

My responsibilities to my family

My responsibilities to the house

My responsibilities to a child holding mother

I forgot that i am son, brother, and young adult

Going through adolescence

I was ignorant to my mom's pain

And my responsibility as a son
