Permanent Slumber

In my dreams I lay awake

Trying to figure out how to escape

But then comes the beating sound

Of the people standing around

I can hear and I can feel

But Im not sure if this is real.

These people I feel I know but not for sure

For I have lost my speech of words.\

For now I know my soul is pure

I come to you in hopes of cure

For if I die before I wake

I pray the lord my soul to take
