The Perpetual Storm

For quite a lengthy moment in time your life is bursting with sunshine and beauty

It allows a lifestyle filled with Bliss and Splendor

You are at freedom to bask in its magnificence with friends and loved ones

The longevity of its ecstasy creates the allusion that this enchanted existence will last forever

Then one day without notice a storm of despair engulfs this once charmed presence

Your former realm of grandeur is replaced by gloom

The abrupt and swift change initially makes the new reality strike you as a bad dream

Yet after the power of time goes to work the actuality sets in and a spectrum of emotions take-over

One moment you weakly fall to your knees to pray to god to bring back the joyful sun

Then the next moment you stand firm with anger and curse him for taking it away

Eventually the oscillation of emotions drain you and you give into the storm

This surrender doesn’t make the storm any more appealing

You learn to cope, but life will never be the same

The storm keeps you isolated because everyone else you know is still in the sun

They will never be able to understand the large shadow of pain the storm casts

Storm or no storm the cycles of day and night prevail

You still have to wake up each morning and go about life

Once upon a time every morning you jumped out of bed to run towards the attraction of the sun

Now every morning you drag yourself out of bed and hide from the wretchedness of the storm

You can embraced the storm and move forward with life

However, the storm is there to stay

With the tenure of the storm your new life is there to stay as well

And your previous life in the sun is just a memory in the wind that was swept away by a brief moment
