Perplex of Life – Free Verse

Perplex of Life – Free Verse

She lay as if pensive

Eyes ignited, admiring from a distance

Flickering feelings of fervent love

Held my hand, indicating a sign from above

Wits keep rational and plaintive this moment

She detached herself and death became sublime

Years yonder age unrest with time

Flickering of yesterday lives in my mind

Buds smell of May, gardenias were her favourite

Everything despondent, everything is dismay

You’re calling me alluring me

I attach myself to her and death became mine
