Persephone's Hate

I saw the darkness in your eyes

I ran through the dark and found my demise

You messed me up and took the prize

Chained up in your shadow, this doesn’t feel right

I tried to get away, but something about you brought me back

It funny how somethings turn from golden to black

You took my soul away and I can’t leave

You took my innocence and now I can’t breathe

You really got me this time

You got me doing things that I cannot explain

Maybe I'm going insane

I feel like I’m the one committing a crime

I hate the way you love me, touch me, feel me

Because, I’m drowning in this deep dark sea

I’m trapped because of a pomegranate tree

Why can’t you just set me free

I will always give you the blame

Wanting to burn, a flame untamed

So when you cross the line

Don’t blame me for doing the same
