Perseverance

A meaning shown, (not said)

A picture perceived, (not seen)

A feeling portrayed, (not hidden)

A path forged, (not found)

No longer words on a page

But life in only two dimensions

Mind free from the cage

Love, not at first sight

But through words filled with might

Poetry, words of both light and insight.

Still awake in the night

My heart still feels so tight

Pressure released only through words

Hurt not healed in mind, nor time  

Pain that causes so much discord

One word, one tear shed

One sentence, ten feelings from my head

One stanza, one hundred emotions free

One poem, now I truly see.
