Persistent Vision

Blood rushes to my head

like bees swarming into a hive,

circling, bellowing,

jaunting about in gleeful fashion.

Steaming waves of blissful passion,

I live for moments like these

and moreover, I long for you

to accompany me.

Persistent vision of you,

your staunchly structured jaw,

the golden blond hair atop your head,

peer through my mind in psychedelic dance,

leaving me in lush ecstasy.

I see the splendor of a night with you

coursing violently in my imagination.

I grow suspense in the realization

that your soft, decadent body

will be close, next to mine

in just an hour’s time.
