The Person I Can't Live Without

There is one person who means more than life to me

This person chose to give life to me, you see.

After years of struggle and thoughts of giving up

God had other ideas and chose to interrupt.

Five years into marriage, I became a product of their love,

A daughter to hold, care for, and cherish, a gift from above.

Over the years as I grew and experienced life,

The choices I made caused her to smile and sometimes brought strife.

As I continued to grow and life’s choices became harder,

She was always there praying that I would be made stronger.

It is almost time for me to lift her wing, fly, and leave the nest

But I know that she will always be close by knowing that God will do the rest.

My mother is my inspiration, my confidant, my best friend. Of this there is no doubt.

I am so glad God chose her to be my mother because she is one I can’t live without.
