The person I swore I'd never be.

The life I live now is not the life I dreamt of as a child.

I swore to myself I would not become the person I am becoming now.

Now I see it slowly consuming me and I hate it.

I fight it with all the strength I have to offer. Will I ever overcome this life I detest?

I keep giving into this monster inside of me.

I look in the mirror and I don’t see myself, I see this unfamiliar person and I ask myself

Is this really me?
