A Personal Flip-Flop

What lies on the unknown side?

A place of peace and rest,

Or where perfection complies

I hope to see a kingdom of gold and sanity,

Instead I find myself,

Trapped in a world without vanity

It divides my earth at every corner

Protecting me,

From the fact that he’s just a stoner

Mistakenly gifted like a King,

Praying for my hellish reality

To be lifted so I can sing

Little words are said in passing,

The cold, hard, unwelcomed truth

Is he is surpassing

Envy is an ugly monster

Poking in,

Plaguing my mind, haunter

The day is almost over

Inside his mirror I gaze,

All I see is a cancerous molar
