A Personal Need

There are many

Personal possessions, material things

From the most  concrete of possessions

to the most abstract of concepts

There are some I could not live without

The friends and family who keep me sane

The influx of artistic inspiration in me that hits like a heavy rain

The adrenaline after running a mile or two

Or simply having something fun to do

Wait...

I just needed one

Right now

All I need, is something to need

A drive, that's it

A drive

One thing I cannot live without

Is my drive to go on

My will to do better

The will to take a performance that was once lackluster and give it vigor

The will to stay on task in achieving my dreams knowing that nothing is certain

All I need is my goal

All I need is my strength

All I need

Is me
