A Personal Reminder

I am constantly changing

My mood swings as I age

And I do not fear aging

Like the moon I go through phases

Fought battles and ran through mazes

That shaped me into who I’m meant to be

A girl that needs no praise

My story is so deep like the sea

Borned a first generation kid

My path so unclear

I didn’t know where I fit in

Constantly thinking about the next year

Thinking “maybe one day this will be clear”

Because right now I am lost

Uncertain about my career

My family can’t pay for my costs

I don’t know it all

I learned there are things I cannot surpass

I learned how to get up when I fall

Learned pain will pass

Just like the good, the bad don’t last

So I shouldn’t overthink so much

Enjoy time now because time moves fast

But there's no need to rush

Today I woke up with a smile

The sun hits my eyes

Content with my long distance mile

Everything will be alright
