Perspective

I look around me and what do I see?

Injustice, malice, evil

Nothing but treachery

I look around me and what do I see?

I see men who lie to rise above others

I see men who cheat on their wives

I see wives who care not for their children

I see old men creating unnecessary wars

I see young men dying on the field

I see evil men being rewarded

and good men being punished

I see malice being practiced

I see evil, everywhere I turn

No

But wait

Perhaps It is time to introspect

Perhaps it is not the world that is corrupt

Perhaps my sight is misguided

I look around me and what do I see?

I see what I want to see.

You see, there is both good and evil that surrounds us all

The question is, do you choose to see the man who betrays

or do you choose to see  the one who lends his hand

Do you choose to see the men that are unfaithful

or do you choose to see the long lasting, faithful marriages

Do you choose to see the woman who drowns her children

or do you choose to see the children that are loved by their mothers'

Do you choose to see the injustice?

or do you choose to see those who stand up against it?

There is both good and evil that surrounds us all

However, let your sight not be blurred

Let us focus on the good

Let love penetrate your mind and soul

Aspire to be kind and compassionate

Focus on the beauty in this Earth

Do not ignore the injustice, but do not stare so long at it, that eventually that is all that you see
