Perspectives

We pass them on the streets

The dirty and hopeless

Too busy to take notice of

The misery in their eyes

Issues outside of our lives

Showcasing how far they've fallen

What can we do? What should we do?

Will help be given?

Why spend our time, our energy, our money

To pity the poor and the homeless

And not instead move on in our easy life

and ignore their misfortunes

But we shouldn't.

But it happens.

But they are humans too.
