Pessimism/War

The olive branch is a fickle friend,

it doesn't stay for long,

and when you try to please it,

it only lasts one song.

But still the olive branch is needed,

wherever one may go,

because without this leafy green,

one'll have to go with faux.

And the olive branch is welcome,

in every worldwide sea,

it is the realist who says,

“The olive branch can be.”
