The Pest.
Today is the day I just want to sit inside my head.
My own escape from a place where the living are dead.
My boy friends, my girl friends all never heard.
Even if they hear they will never understand.
Even if they see they will never perceive.
I am like a ghost gliding unperceived,
I am like a pariah wondering unreceived.
How can they receive what they can't perceive?
Every good work done goes unseen.
When I burst in anger it morphs into a sin.
But why, why can they not appreciate, appreciate all these efforts?
The god within me retreats back home.
Bruised and hurt by the foolish
He can only forgive, forgive them they can't perceive.
So they will never receive what I give.
I close my eyes longing for darkness to give me rest.
I close my eyes to fall asleep that my soul might awake.
I shut down my system taking time to erase the pest.
The pest is my uncontrolled thoughts making me shake.
Thoughts run unbridled inside my Thought.
I control them, bring them to naught.
The unbridled is what will rot.
As darkness sets in.
The pest gets out.
I prayed and fasted that this love would be bliss.
I said it lasted this long
because of you but I was that wrong.
Why do I have to always scream about this?
There is nothing exciting talking about this.
I have no clue if you find time to miss me.
When you sorely need me you shall miss me.
I will pass you by when you can not see.
If you see me, please leave me be.
The words never said
The actions never done.
All are pests telling me go.
Drowning in the silence can I let go?
If you cared you never let me know.
You kept me guessing and questioning
Your fealty towards me.
